Because Rob Halford is probably the greatest metal vocalist of all time? That and the fact that I strongly suspect he is equal to or greater than God ;)

He's an exceptional vocalist, a lot of people say heavy metal's just screaming, but you find me a pop singer whose voice spans six octaves like Rob's does! Another great example is Painkiller, I think it is beyond human comprehension about how he manages to reach half the notes in that; similarly in a lot of live songs too, he'll makes vocals that blow your mind. Not many 60 year olds can sing as well as they could, however Mr Halford just gets better and better.

(As you can tell, I'm quite a fan of Rob Halford.)

No mortal could ever get that high for sure. Although with a comment like that it couldn't really be anything but Painkiller - Judas Priest

Nope, the apparent bloke in the sky who millions of people pray to for guidance and similar, though I meant it metaphorically. Halford is far and away, IME, the greatest metal figure of all time.
