I joined this forum a few years ago, whilst working in a station coffee shop. Less than 3 years later, I've just qualified as a mainline Driver.

The advice I've had on here and the people I've met (notably course mates and colleagues!) have been invaluable.

A quick thanks to anyone, Driver or otherwise, who has offered me advise over the last 18 months or so since my application was first submitted.

I don't have qualifications. I just knew what I wanted and focussed on getting it. If I can do it, what's stopping you?

Well, that there's no station staff positions being offered in my area is likely a big obstacle.
