There are a number of postings regarding the current boxes between Nottingham & Lincoln but does anyone know of a list of proposed closing dates?

Also how will the line be controlled after all the boxes have gone?

Swinderby box is due to hang on about a year longer, I think - as it's sandwiched between Doncaster PSB and Lincoln SCC control.

I certainly wouldn't pay too much attention to the dates officially (and centrally) published internally and externally, despite the recent update. I doubt that the east Notts resignalling is far away, but most of the schemes locally seem subject to very well substantiated rumour, in some cases pushing the dates back five or more years.

Without an increase of signal installation and testing expertise a lot of those closures are going to slip.

Well testing and installation isn't the problem, it's the designers that we are lacking (look at the internal job list every now and then, they was even recently offering a conversion scheme for people with appropriate degrees to become signalling designers), it doesn't help that other counties have poached them with telephone number salaries!!

It is a problem, apparently Wolves has fallen on its arse for this bank holiday and they cant find a new date for it as too many other jobs are on that can't release staff to commission.
