But then they charge a fortune to park there. Currently Bristol Parkway is an rip off at £5 per day (it costs £7.50/day at Temple Meads (City Centre)) but by 2009 it will be merged with a bus park & ride and will be FREE! I can understand why you'd want to charge at City Centre stations though.

the metro car park in town (not connected with any metro system) costs about £1 an hour, with a free shuttle bus around the city.
