Chaos down Broadmarsh today as there was a bloke threatening to throw themselves off one of the car parks. Friar lane had no buses going down it because of it.

The Centrelink I had caught had ran from Broadmarsh to Victoria direct then did the Angel Row section towards Broadmarsh.

Trent Barton had a lot of angry people on their Facebook page as nothing could use Friar Lane.

As an aside, anyone notice the Club Class coach today on a nice green route...

I presume the local plod closed the roads around the incident, so can't see how that is TBs fault, not you just those complaining on Facebook.

That was a really awful day with Carlton Road closed in the morning due to someone threatening to jump from some flats, and then a couple of hours later someone did the same on the car park on top of Broadmarsh Bus Station and once that traffic chaos was finally over someone was on the top of the car park around the corner so roads were closed again

I was listening to the radio on one of NCTs Scanias that mentioned that there were road closures. (too used to hearing my local operators radio system so my ears were too attuned to hearing for them to go off)

The displays on local bus stops are showing that the new bus/tram interchange in Beeston will be available from 12th July, but to check with the operators. Almost suggesting that not all operators have confirmed they are moving there.

From the guide I picked up itvappears the 17 is not serving the interchange as it wasn't listed. On the guide there was a Beeston shopper service to Chillwell anyone know anything about this.

Also noted a silver Mercedies on the y5 is this a loan or acquisition.

That's because the 17 will no longer serve Beeston shortly as I understand it.
Is the Shopper Service that little minibus that runs up and down to Chilwell High Road?

The Beeston Shopper service will be run by Yourbus and will be numbered S1.
They are also introducing an X36 limited stop service.

The running times are more than a little optimistic but when have you ever known Yourbus to stick to a timetable?!?!

At least that bit is mainly bus lanes. 10 minutes there to Beeston, at peak times. Lucky to get half way up Derby Road in that time!

Is the metallic Citaro seen on the Y5, and I saw a metallic brown 14 plate Citaro operating as a spare Y36 yesterday, destined for the X36 peak times then S1 I wonder. I wouldn't have thought it would have needed a full size bus, but they do seem to like a single model fleet.

Not seen the TT myself but 5 mins from Victoria Centre in rush hour (non-stop) will probably get you to Canning Circus on a good day due to the sheer amount of buses in town. 10 minutes after QMC you might have reached the other side of QMC island

Looks like one bus running both journeys on the X36 in the morning and evening and all journeys on the S1.

Not sure I'd like to guess how late the second journey on the X36 will be each day, with 36, 36Y and indigo buses going past me...or either journey in the evening as the bus off the S1 tries to get into Nottingham in the peak.

Looks to be pretty much no recovery time in that timetable despite the tight timings.

The Y36 is, the X36 is 1h10 with 3 mins at Victoria Centre (I must've read it wrong before)

Trent have announced the changes to the Rushcliffe Greens & 22 on their travel alerts page on website from the 30th August. No timetables yet though.

Nct has also cut the journey time down for a round trip to try and cut down the time buses stand at Blanford Road. The website also states there will be further enhancements to the 36 from the end of August. Also the NCT 36 will be free on the 31st July.

It is also due to the newly introduced SBQP which requires that buses spend no more than 2 minutes at the interchange. The spirit of the rule is I guess, just pick up and leave, rather then having long lay over as was the case with the old bus station. This was very effective at causing congestion in the bus station, but did act to separate delays on the two sections of the route.
