I was issued via letter with the Notice of Intended Prosecution (due to lack of a ticket purely by accident – yes, I do know the rules though!) and like others on here have responded to them with justification or acknowledgment. The email was sent on 01/04/2025 and gave a period of 90 days in which they would respond. It has now gone past that. What would the advice be now? Just leave it (it does say "refrain from sending multiple responses"!). I have had no further follow up in any way. Thank you.

Thank you for contacting Chiltern Railways - Economic Crime, Fraud & Prosecutions Unit.

We understand the urgency of your email, however due to a high workload, a member of the team will be in contact with you within 90 days.

Please refrain from sending multiple responses, as this only increases our workload and response time.

Just leave it. If they go over six months they can’t prosecute you anyway. Don’t manoeuvre while the enemy is making a mistake.

Welcome to the forum.

When was the incident? That's the more critical date, as that's when the clock starts on the six months that the railway has to notify the magistrates' court if they are going to prosecute you there.
