'not via Reading' fares

First Hull Trains are offering 'not via Reading' tickets for journies via Reading.
Eg 8/7/17 Oxford - Abergavenny 0929 - 1234 Super Off Peak return £31.95. It also offers a seat reservation and allows me to buy the ticket. I assume it is a mistake as in the last couple of days the 1129 and 1329 from Oxford have been offered for the not via Reading price.
What would happen if I travelled on this ticket with a booked journey?

Nobody can say what would happen. What should happen is that the ticket is accepted without quibble. The following easement covers things:

700694 During engineering works affecting Great Western services between 08 and 15 July 2017, tickets priced on fare route (00810) NOT VIA READING will be valid via Reading.
