Happened last Sunday. Was suprised as thought these platforms weren't long enough, hence why the local lines cross the main at Ilford.

Also first time over Ilford flyover.

I've been going over that since DC days. It was probably in the early '70s before I travelled under it on the fasts.

Anything longer than an 8 car EMU in platform 15 prevents parallel moves in and out of 16-18 so is not done more than necessary, but it does happen. The curvature of platform 15 at the country end also makes it less than ideal for MkIII stock.

Many Anglia IC trains use 11, 12 & 13 on. A daily basis. Platforms 14 & 15 have no booked workings but it does happen quite often. Rarely used are 1-6 although 7 happens sometimes.
