Norwich to London - tomorrow

I'm not 100% sure whether I'll be doing this journey tomorrow, but can anyone suggest a walk-up fare for this that's cheaper than a standard Norwich to Liverpool Terminals (Liverpool Street) ticket (£49.50)? I only need a single. Anything that would get me on the TFL map would do.

So far I've got Norwich to Southend (not via London), stopping short at Stratford, costing £44.50.

A cheaper route in to London can be had via Cambridge, though it's at a rather leisurely pace. No doubt cheaper tickets are available, but a starter for this option could be Norwich to Enfield Lock/Crews Hill/Hadley Wood singles (depending on which line you'd use from Cambridge to London), either of which cost £40.10.

Ahhh yeah sorry - I should say that I want to use the route via Colchester...

A split at Colchester saves a little bit. Norwich to Colchester Anytime Day Sgl £17.80 and Colchester to Stratford Super Off Peak Day Sgl £21.10 = total £38.90.

A smidgen cheaper than Haywain's suggestion:
Norwich to Manningtree - £15.60 Anytime Day Single
Manningtree to Stratford - £22.60 Super Off Peak Day Single
£38.20 total.

All Norwich-London trains stop at Manningtree on a Saturday so you can catch any train.
