Norwich 'Low Level' sidings ?

Does anyone know how the Low Level sidings at Norwich got their name ? Its not like they are lower than the main station

I'm not certain about this but I think it goes back to the days go Norwich having three stations. Norwich Victoria - the original terminus of the Eastern Union Railway - would have been the "High Level".

It is actually slightly lower than the station at Norwich. Not sure if that has anything to do with the name though!

Sounds quite plausible but I don't remember the usage from 'back in the day'.
Could it simply have been a name used after the goods yard/depot rationalisations to avoid confusion with Jubilee Sidings (which as @TheEdge points out are at a 'higher' level)?

Jubilee sidings are still known to many as 'The Back Road'.

Of course forgot 'back road' and that is what it's labeled up as on the PSB panel ! lol ( as well and Jubilee)
