GA running a 1106 and 1245 return Norwich - Stowmarket on Sunday, any ideas what this is for ??? Described as Unadvertised express on realtime.

States that it is an Intercity set. No idea what as test trips happen frequently but as short term planning.

1Z01 used to mean a Royal Train not conveying the head of state (usually PP or one of her children, or possibly other hangers-on) although I don't know whether that still is the case and indeed if it was then I doubt it would be on Real Time Trains as those schedules are usually not put in the system and the loco/stock maintenance hours are added manually.

I remember the 379's when testing were being given "zed's" but they were usually 3Z01 or 5Z01 etc.

Express is the last thing it is. Scheduled for 46 minutes to do the 20 miles from Norwich to Diss. Average speed 26mph.

Still don't know exactly why but train has Network Rail & Train planners on board, hence the need for a guard.

Hope they sorted out Moulton AHBs. They'd failed yesterday afternoon & all evening & again today adding around 10min to every train.
