The station is officially still open, is unserved by trains and is inaccessible to the public (footbridge removed).
The 'temporary' bus service is service 13, is operated by D & G bus and is shown in printed timetables / online journey planners. Rail tickets are valid.
The consultation re closure is underway, as detailed above.

I saw the 16.45 replacement 13 bus depart Stafford station on Thursday 24 November. Nobody on it.

Although it's sad to see that they appear to have replaced the station picture. Perhaps someone was told off for having a sense of humour.

This question was last done to some death and a great deal of insight in the thread entitled 'Barlaston/Norton Bridge/Wedgwood railway stations' commencing on 26th Sept 2016. Can someone with more forum savvy-ness than me please link to that 11 page thread ? Thanks.
