Northumbrian depot question

I will be moving to Northumberland soon and will obviously need some form of employment. I shall be roughly equidistant from Go Northeast's Hexham depot and Arriva's Ashington depot.

What services run from these depots, and have I missed any depots? Not too familiar with the area yet so trying to get some learning done early.

Any other operators I've missed would be handy too!

Probably best to go for Ashington depot which has services 1/2/35/43/44/45/57/57A/X14/X15/X16/X18/X20/X21/X22/415/419/434/460/777. You might be able to get a line on the rota to be based in Morpeth which may be easier for you.

There’s also Stagecoach at Slatyford, I believe there’s a waiting list to transfer to Hexham depot for GNE drivers with the closest option being Riverside at present, and Consett if it isn’t still full.

Just a heads up that there is no longer a rota based in Morpeth at Arriva Ashington. You would be based at Ashington (or Alnwick, but that has to be requested IIRC), and on a rota there. There is a 5-day rota and a 4-day rota, which cover all routes, and a 'local' rota for U21s which contains some of the more local work.

You would have some breaks at Morpeth, where they have facilities, but all shifts start/end at Ashington - with paid travel time back to Ashington if you were relieved at Morpeth for example.
