37884 has taken 769431 back to Kilmarnock as 5Q08 from SP this morning. Reason unknown but that now means 6 769 diagrams for 6 units (2 in use yesterday with 5 of NH's finest DMU's covering but with 3 shortforms) with 769434 out of use since the Burscough incident in August.
Is this the start of another round of modifications?? 769431 originally came back from Brodies in April 2025.

431 has gone away for C4 exam, should be around 4 weeks. I don't believe any others are currently planned to follow.

According to another forum 431 has managed to work for 34 days in the last 3 1/2 months, I would suggest that it might have started for 34 days but certainly didn't finish anything lke that number... so with 434 also out of use 6 for 6 diagrams should be interesting for a month or so....and on Mon 12/10 3 start the day with 3 shortforms in terms of DMU's. but by lunchtime down to 2 with now 5 short-formed as the replacement 150 has itself been split from a 4 car diesel Southport diagram.

Didn't realise at 41 years old, they would be works overhauled rather than withdrawn

Must be some of the oldest stock still in use
Northern does not have any replacements for their Class 15x fleets at this moment in time. But that is a topic for different thread(s).

150142 came back from NL to NH at the end of September, and since 8 Oct has been out daily on the west side.
Is this short term cover as so many units are away, together with the daily requirement for anything between 3 -5 units to cover the 769's??
