It's sitting around Wigan, it spent a lot of time recently in the carriage sidings at Wallgate, as drivers are refusing to move it due to the brake blocks having been worn through.

Heaton to Wolverton 156421. Just passed Hinckley about 10 early. Memories of pre 2007 when these used to be used by Central Trains on this route!

5B42 was a purple 150 and given 150115 shows as out on RTT this would put it as 150118. This means 150115 is now the last remaining 150 in old colours.

I have 150 117 (31st Oct) and 150 121 ( 7 Nov ) as Newton heath units st Crewe.

158791, 158851(at Crewe wks), 158855, 158861, 158872 (Bristol wks);
323224 (Wolverton wks).

Pity the seats can get dirty quite easily, though not as bad as the old interior. Much improved though, really brings the fleet into the 21st Century. Just need WiFi and USBs on all trains now (Pacer excepted as they're going next year).

How come the new Northern logo is being introduced now instead of when the OLR first took over, did the rights for the old logo lapse after a certain time or something?

There was a period where the old logo could be used but also the logo had to be designed, finalised and printed. The logo has been on internal documents for a few months and is been applied very quickly to the trains over the past week or so

The transition from the previous franchise to the current was/is a phased approach, their first aim was to stabilise the franchise then do everything else as needed later on. The logo obviously not being a priority as it wasn't Arriva branded (aside from the tagline that did get removed) got pushed to the sidelines.

491 also out according to RTT so assume 475. If anyone could confirm both moves that would be appreciated.

Realtime says it left for Holbeck. Unit 475 failed at Middlesbrough yesterday with cab fumes. So Heaton must have traced the leak and fixed it last night. It spent most of Yesterday in Middlesbrough HST sidings.
