It'll be exactly that - they're run by a FOC (that isn't GBRF) under their safety license etc, so they input and load the path meaning the headcode is obfuscated on the datafeeds (and until activated will just show as FRGT). It will be pathed and ran as an ECS on the actual systems

Exactly. No Northern driver will sign Eastleigh so the service is contracted to someone like ROG or Freightliner and operates under their safety case.

Of Northerns DMUs I think that just leaves 156/426, 447, 449, 460, 461, 485 to enter works for PRM.
Of interest 447, 449, 485 are ex Scotrail units owned by Angel trains whos units seem to be done at Eastleigh. Remainder are Portabrook who seem to use Wolverton.
Also is 156 which went to Eastleigh on 20th Jan still there. Thsts a long time.

The ex ScotRail 156 that went to Eastleigh in January as far as I know is still there. It's having a complete overhaul. There are some pics of it in bits on FB.

I'm assuming that it will primarily be a mechanical overall, though they could replace the Ashbourne seats which are apparently not in a good state as the Grand Central 180s received a cosmetic refurbishment at Eastleigh.

It'll be a full refurb I believe - apparently the reason for going to Eastleigh is that they have better facilities for the roof repairs required.

I think its a really nice touch especially because 'Bernie' who is now 'Hutchie's' widow is still working at Tyseley Depot 105s former long time home depot.

The Holbeck to Neville hill presumably 333 012 returning after gaining a new floor.
I wonder if the Holbeck shed will return to its former use of train cleaning now all the 333s have had there interiors refreshed.

156465 - May 2nd...photo at Shawford, captioned.. "Ex-ScotRail 156465 working the 5Q86-09:03-Heaton T&RSMD-Eastleigh T&RSMD for refurbishment to enter service for Northern. 156496 is at Eastleigh currently & 3 more to follow. ROG operated."

323228 - Photograph March 12th shows new livery [and comment operating from Wolverton to Allerton].

I make it 10 that have gone in: 323226-230/232/234/236/238/239 with 7 having come out: 226/228/229/234/236/238/239.
232 is the one going for refurb.

"150 209 in GW livery went to Doncaster for PRM works on 25th Jan.
I think it was the mismatched set with no toilets the other car being from 212.
I wonder what's been done at Doncaster.
Theres a booked path the other way to Doncaster at 11.20 . With all the 150s now being "PRMed" or in works I wonder what's going there and why. " Further posts about what happened - did it get done ????

156465 is in Eastleigh works, thus considered "in the paint process" and not to be seen again in Scotrail livery.
