Northern trainees manchester

Hi. Waiting to start training course in Manchester and knowwas told it runs Monday to Friday 9-4 is but was wondering if anyone knew what days we will have off over Xmas. Was hoping to get 27th Dec off. Any info appreciated. Thanks

Good opportunity wouldn't worry about having a certain day off you'll have plenty of that when you pass out. .
Any missed training days are generally frowned upon

Any more than 3 days and you will be put on another course

Thanks. Thought as much but was hoping they would have between Xmas and new year off anyway. Certainly wouldn't skip a day. Like you say it's a great opportunity and wouldn't do anything to jeopardise it.

Maybe a question to ask when you start. You may be lucky and be off the 27th with trains not starting as early it might be a bit hard to get in for a 9am start

I wouldn't ask anything about time off. Just keep quiet and look keen. The training school works when the railway works. So if it's a bank holiday you still work as the training school is open.
