This is the North East region of the Northern franchise, remember, where the clock stopped on rolling stock upgrades before privatisation was implemented.

A 195 follow on order is more realistic*

You’d probably need to do it as a bigger order to make the necessary depot modifications or new depot worthwhile due to them being much more worked on from above rather than below thus allowing the level boarding. Modifying Crown Point Depot in this way to be 100% Stadler cost in excess of £40m.
