Caught 319363 in service with Northern today. In the same plain white livery as 361
I've seen 362 and 366, too, in that livery, in recent days.

Precisely but "off white"!!!!When the 319s first arrived they were the latest thing on Northern and somebody decided to give them a new livery. However once the new stock arrives the 319s will be on fairly run-of-the-mill journeys alongside the 150s. If a distinctive livery is needed it will be for the stock used on "Northern Connect".

Did the Channel Tunnel pair have a special livery? 1993 was it?
I travelled on one but can't remember.

Plus 450.
But is 450 actually in service? There was a loose report of it having done a journey to Preston in mid-March, but no-one claimed to have seen it, and it hasn't been mentioned since.
It is in service most days. 448 is not yet in service.
Could anyone confirm if this unit is now in service ? details of it's schedule for today would be appreciated. Thanks in advance for any replies.

AUTUMN CASCADE IN THE PIPELINE FOR DMUs
A small cascade of Porterbrook owned DMU's involving GWR, London Midland and Northern is planned for later this year.
Five GWR Class 153's are scheduled to move to LM in the autumn to replace three Class 150/1's, which will move to Northern. The single car 153's are 153325/329/333/361/369, and are the only five leased from Porterbrook by GWR. They will replace 150105/107/109, which are the only members of the class leased by LM.
Its always been known that the 3 LM 150/1 were going to Northern, we now know what will replace them
I suspect that is utter garbage. Not least because the 3 x 150/1 units are actually owned by Angel, the 2 x 153 issue on the Marston Vale and the ever so slight issue that GW are leasing the 5 x PB 153 units through to at least Dec 2018, with DfT support.
Did anybody check their facts with GWR before printing?
May be or may be not utter garbage? but on a different page in the same RAIL magazine, GWR will need 18 class 387's to run the Paddington to Maidenhead service from May 21st. Five pairs for the service plus spares and driver training units. This will kick start the internal DMU cascade at GWR to the west. Now GWR can either send 2 car DMU's to Northern OR 1 car DMU's to LM in the Autumn, the latter would keep more 2 car DMU's at GWR which would be more useful to them.

The LM 150/1s are only 2 car.
Thanks for the amendment! So will these ex-LM units only replace Northern ones going for refurbishment?
I would have thought that once the Class 387s begin reaching Maidenhead on a regular basis, there would be plenty of freed-up units available, even if they are used to cover refurbishment at first.
All the 150/1s will be based at northern, some will be going 3 car with the remaining 150/2s in the middle for the yorkshire lines but i could be mistaken.
I wonder which will appear first. The 150's from down south or the 170's from up north.
As a sideline isn't it odd that LM have just one 158 centre car.
