Did anyone go for the Northern Rail trainee drivers position at Liverpool Lime Street that was advertised about a month ago?
If so has anyone heard anything back other that the email offering the online assessment?
From reading posts in the forum there seem to be a few people at various stages of the selection process with them.

There was another Lime Street drive back in April/May if I recall which could explain the different stages. I didn't go for Lime Street I went for Piccadilly back in May, but as it's the same HR team I will say they are pretty true to their word when giving a time to hear back. After the online visual comparison test it was almost 8 weeks 'til the day I got an invite to interview. That part of the process seems to be the longest wait as they've trimmed down the applicant pool and are working through the applications.
Whatever wait they've told you to expect I'd prepare yourself for it!

Thanks for that Silv, they told me anything up to four weeks after I did the online assessment.
Any idea of the next stage if successfull, is it an interview?

If they said 4 weeks then you'll almost certainly hear something on the last day of the 4th week. If you passed the visual comparison test, your application will be subject to a sift. If it's in the successful pile you'll get the invite to managers' interview at Lime St station. Northern do this before the assessment centre - which makes sense as there's less cost. I think just over half the interviewees got an assessment day date. From 400 applicants for Manchester Picc (which is now Victoria) - 12 got assessment centre dates.
Hope this helps.
