Hello,
I've just been informed that I've been placed in the talent pool after being successful in all the assessments/interviews.

Has anyone been successful in becoming a driver from the pool? If so how long did you have to wait?

Disappointed to have passed everything and not be given the job.

You need to be patient and just sit tight.I waited Seven months and my "on hold" status had elapsed but I got the call in the end although this was with another TOC.

Northern seem to do things a bit different, second person to say talent pool now, mine still says on hold
Did you apply the opening after the 2nd Jan one pratt?

I gave them a call in the end. I noticed that my status said "on hold after successful drivers assessment". I wanted to find out what that meant. Rumour has it, a course will commense in May

Yes I sent my application in on the 3rd Jan 2014.

I guess i'll just have to be patient.

No, nothing offical yet. My source is a young lady, who's father works for another TOC as a trainer, who has friends at Northern Rail. Not concrete just a rumour...
