Hi, what depot have you applied for?

I recently went through the process and it was fairly laidback for the railway I thought.

All the usual what do you know about the company, little bit about yourself and what makes you suitable for a role on the railway. Examples of challenging situations/working within a team.

Then it was some fairly basic technical questions nothing too serious.

Thanks for the quick response Bosch91

I have applied for the Manchester depo Newton Heath, It has taken a while getting to this stage having applied back in October, i was told by HR that they had a large amount of interest in the position with 10 job available so kind of understandable with the time again and the fact things seem to move slow in terms of recruitment on the railways.

That is great to hear regarding the laid back approach, Being honest i was expecting it to be similar to driver / conductor roles so that has took some pressure off as they do seem intense.

How long did it take to hear back from the interview?

Thanks again for the response.
