Hi,
Just a bit of advice please. On Saturday I was traveling from Manchester Piccadilly to Chester on Northern Rail, it was one of the old 142 trains and we were late leaving Picc as the train was being repaired on the platform.
We got to Hale ok but then the train broke down and we were told that we had to get off the train and wait for the next service, which was an hour later.
I have been told though that I should be able to reclaim the cost of the ticket back.
My question though is although it was a Northern Train I was on, I purchased the ticket from the TPE website, so do I need to send an email to Northern Trains or to TPE and what is the best way of going about it as I assume that I will need to send the tickets somewhere to prove that I was on that journey.
Thanks in advance
