Earlier in the year, perhaps May, there was a 4-5 week period with a reasonably stable Sunday service, brought about by a temporary rest day working agreement.
Can anyone advise whether any further extension of this is in the pipeline?
Without going into specific details , there was a significant financial enhancement offered for drivers to work their Sundays , as expected this led to an increase in volunteers for Sunday working . Don't care what you say everyone has a price .
Being cynical perhaps but this is something I can see the government funding for political reasons .
They get the headline "we got Sunday services running again" , and as with every headline , only people that actually look at the finer details will be any the wiser about what has actually happened and how it is only a short term fix .
