Northern Rail conductor assessments 2013

Following interview around two weeks ago I have progressed to the conductor assessments. I have been told the assessment dates are currently being arranged and I should receive further information regarding the day in the near future.

So how long will I be waiting until the assessment event, does anyone know of any set dates in the south Yorkshire area in the near future?

Northern seem to be working on their recruitment methods, sites and information, so has anyone recently attended northern conductor assessment days or know what I should expect?

or just any useful information for potential conductors?

I am very pleased to have reached this stage and I am eager to show my ability come the day.

weird you have the interview first that the same for driver with northern?

They have the recruitment process on the northern website.

I had some internet tests, then an interview in sheffield now an assesment in york next week which includes another interview.

It's a long process started in October.

My email tells me that there is no second interview or role play anymore.

Yeah sorry the email says the role play and interview are no longer used.

I am guessing its a recent change.

How's your prep going? Pity they don't tell us how many q'/ to answer as a minimum and level of accuracy etc

As expected really just tougher than I expected to be honest, not feeling all that confident unfortunatley.

I think if I was to do it again I would do better, so a good experience just a bummer to get this far and no quite perform on the day
