Hello all,
I will shortly be taking a conductor assessment day with Northern. I've read through the forums & info Northern sent like mad but just have a couple of questions that I'm hoping somebody who might have recently taken the day can help me with;
1. Concentration test - Dots or SCAAT?
The examples Northern have sent / practice materials are SCAAT style (letters not dots) does this mean it will be scaat or do they use dots?
Also is it on paper or computer for whoever did the test?
2. Concentration test - 25 mins?
It says in the details this test is 25 mins I'm just wondering how this is made up - sheets / minutes at a time etc. so I can practice accordingly.
3. Differences?
On the verbal test & ticket selling/checking test it mentions it will be like the practice material but not exactly the same.
(Is this just to say it won't be the examples or that the actual test is different in terms of the context?)
4. Time Spans?
What are the time spans / sheet set up for the verbal / ticket selling & checking tests? I'd essentially like to put myself through a mock day before going if possible.
I have no doubt I may have other questions in the time being before the day which hopefully somebody will have the patience to help me with
- but many thanks for whoever provides the answers (please feel free to PM if you don't want to post publicly). This forum has proven very useful in my application(s) so far so thank you to one & all!
