Northern Rail Assesment Day

Evening,

I have just been notified that I have a full assesment day following an interview next week. I was expecting if successful in the interview that the assesment would take place at DBS, Doncaster but the e-mail informs me it is in Leeds. Do you know if this is a preliminary step prior to DBS, Doncaster?

Help would be much appreciated? Any links to current assesment day threads please also?

They hire in OPC people to hotels and the such like to do the assessments. It will be the full assessment. Mine was at the McDonald hotel in Manchester!

Thanks for the speedy response. Is the structured interview a similar one to the original interview? How long do you usual find out if you was successfull after?

I had attended an interview on November 26th in Hull and was wondering how long you waited before you found out about the invite to the assessment day? I was originally told by email that I would find out either way within 14 days...but I see things usually take a little longer than stated generally with most of the posts I have been reading.
If it has passed now how did you get on??

I interviewed on the 4th of December and haven't heard anything yet, I know somebody else who is the same.... I don't want to be the guy who calls them so I'm gonna sit tight for now. I know exactly how you feel, it's killing me ha

I had my interview for Conductor in Sheffield last Wednesday the 12th of December. I am awaiting a response after what seemed a good interview.

I did however, ask some questions and from what I could gather the assesment is in Doncaster and the training is based in Leeds.

Some people have found out within six days others two weeks +, so I just think it varies for every post.
