There is an underlying feeling that Unions believe there is a bottomless pit of money, and that throwing toys out of the pram is a good way to get their own way. The NHS has also been undervalued, yet the RMT would have us believe drivers deserve more than nurses? You should put things in perspective, and be happy for what is there already.

Perhaps the truth of this is the reason. Passengers DO pay the wages, and are the ones who suffer the most from strikes. THAT is tiring.
Its not even the RMT balloting its members for a strike . And the RMT does not believe that Nurses deserve a pay freeze . If you payed attention to everything that comes out of the RMT rather than just the bits you disagree with you would see that they also campaign against austerity and do support the plight of Unite members working for the NHS in getting a fair pay deal for themselves .

However as a member of the RMT I pay for the RMT to defend my rights and protect me . The union exists to protect its members it is not an overarching political organisation so whilst it obviously has opinions on Austerity its purpose is not to get nurses a payrise .

Well never mind, once Labour comes to power at the next General Election, it will be like the Genie of the Lamp granting wishes galore to all and sundry and all the nation's ills will be cured at one fell swoop. Mick Cash will be a little peeved as he will have nothing to complain about...:D

You do know that RMT was disaffiliated from the Labour party in 2004 dont you .

What is your actual problem with Unions ? Where you not in one when you worked ?
