how do i go about getting to preston from leeds i bought a advance single to motherwell , connecting into the 11.42 at preston from leeds im booked on the 09.51 to Blackpool change at preston any advice much appreciated.

You might have to get a TPE train to Manchester and then another TPE to Preston. No doubt easements will be in place.

0906 to Manc Picc arriving 1005
1015 to Preston arriving 1055

There is a 1036 departure from Manc Picc but that gets in at 1133, doesn't give you much slippage.

they sent me a reservation for the preston motherwell journey not for the northern train leeds to preston , so if i get a tpx to manchester change for preston i have no reservation for that part.

You had no reservation on the Leeds to Preston train anyway (Northern don't do them) so it's hardly an issue not to have reservations on the alternative route, is it?
