Currently sat on what should be the 0916 Huddersfield to Manchester Victoria, still in P4b as I type. Station PIS display Stalybridge, National Rail app says the same, with service cancelled West of Stalybridge due to "Emergency Services dealing with an incident". Now I appreciate that these things happen there have been literally ZERO announcements. As I'm on split tickets getting TPE isn't an option to get to Victoria. Lack of announcements is poor from with Northern or TPE (who run the station) though.

Just spoken to the guard who informed me of a suicidal male near Ashton being the reason for the delay. Obviously I hope the guy gets talked down ok, and said Guard has (as so often with both new and old Northern) done a good job of saving face for the company. If you're a member on here, Mr. Guard- top marks!

Now en-route, ticket easement allowing me to get to Preston via Piccadilly. :)
