What do mean EMT will put on a song and dance when they get extra units on Nottingham to Liverpool?

Look at the current EMT timetable for Liverpool-Norwich. They've got a full page showing a refurbished 158 interior and saying extra carriages are arriving on this route soon.

In my opinion the North West 156s are a poor comparison, though it is sad to see the Northern Spirit 156s looking so run down now.

Northern had just done the first stage of a 156 refresh on the ex-FNW 156s just before DfT decided Northern should send 4x156s to EMT so it made sense to identify 4 of the ex-Northern Spirit units to send to EMT.

As far as I'm aware (with the existing refurbishment scheme), any units which have Richmond seating will retain it. The only units having Chapman seating installed are the ex-Wales & West 153s.

The chapman seating is from the 4 'Alphaline'158s EMT. There isn't any left after the Wales & West 153s, and I don't think Chapman seating is still in production.

EDIT: Seems to be available from Primarius now as the SC1X. Still, I can't see them replacing the seats unfortunately.

It would have been booked for 2 x 150/2.

A 150 is a 150 as far as Northern is concerned. There is no distinction between /1 and /2 on the diagrams.

If it hasn't already been noted elsewhere some of the LM 150s have recieved Northern seat covers and 150117 has been repainted.

I know but in practise the Leeds to York via Harrogate services are nearly always /2's. Is it possible that the staff at Newton Heath try to send the 150/2's to Harrogate?

I not aware of a deliberate attempt to allocated 150/2s to a particular circuit but some diagrams carry a note that substituting another class type (not sub class) must be avoided if possible ie No.123 diagram is booked a 155 and carries a note saying it must be a 155. This is to avoid a service which needs the capacity of a 155 being allocated a 142 unless it would mean cancelling the diagram. The diagram in question may not be allocated by NH instead being alloacted by the local depot that it starts from.

Regularly see gangway stock attatched to non gangway on harrogate line (i live at burley park) and the green 150s have apeared quite regularly on the line since they arrived at northern. See them quite often.

Yes, many times. They are in a common pool with the other 150s. I'm sure you asked this a couple of weeks ago.

220 has now been repainted into Northern livery. Im not 100% but I dont think the northern-most 'Northern' depots sign 150s any more.

Saw former network west miands blue liveried LM 150's 150103/132 at Leeds on Saturday 25th Feb in new Northern livery. This was in contrast to 150118 which I saw at Sheffield on actrain to Leeds still in Network blue with Northern logos stuck on the side.
