Been given a start date for July, pending my medical! Great way to finish the week!
I did my psychometrics end of March and passed, got an email on the 29th of March telling me that I will be placed in the talent pool for up to 9 months, congrats on getting the call but now that I see they have a new ad up for trainee driver in Leeds and I haven't been called yet, I'm feeling a bit hopeless, I don't understand talent pools tbh

I'm starting Driver training at Leeds at the end of May, has anyone else in the Leeds/or other pools been given this date?

What days do the apprenticeship work across, is it Monday to Friday? Thanks
Initial Training:
16 weeks at Driver Academy; Monday to Friday
- A&V (Assessment & Verification exam to qualify from academy)

Post Academy Training:
-Traction conversions
-Part B (15 hours conducted driving with your driver manager)
-Principles of Route Learning (maps course)
-230 hour physical driving with a minder (following the driver minders shift pattern - earlies, lates and nights unless they’re in a ‘AM’ or ‘PM’ only link)
-Part C (Module 7 final test week)

Generally 12-14 month course depending on minder availability plus City&Guilds apprenticeship coursework throughout.

If you pass your test week you’ll then be a qualified PQA driver for 2 years with an orange cab pass.

Post Part C:

- Local maintenance depot route learning. Neville Hill and Holbeck
- Route Learning your link
- Annual rules day (until you’re out of PQA status then every 2 years after that. Rules days are pass or fail)
