I have just had a Delay Repay claim rejected by Northern as follows.
Now, there was a replacement bus that left Man Vic at 23.25 arriving in Wigan at 00.37, so between 30-59 minutes late. I wouldn't have even considered a refund as I completed the journey and not even that late all things considered. If I accept the compensation I get £3.95; under Northern Delay Repay, I'm entitled to a single complimentary ticket.
For information the train was cancelled sometime during the day, not the day before.
What do the experts think?

Update and apologies for wasting your time. Just logged onto Delay Repay portal and saw the following. I had just read the email that did not indicate any of this...
"Thank you for contacting Northern regarding your experience when travelling from Manchester Victoria to Wigan North Western on 01/06/2024 at 23:17. I am sorry for any inconvenience caused during your journeys on the day. The train was cancelled because of a member of train crew not available. I am responding to your delay repay compensation with the claim ref number REDACTED. you are entitled to a partial refund not a delay repay.
I am able to compensate you £3.95 as a partial refund of the ticket. I can process this as a card payment through our PayIt system"

"If you completed your journey using replacement transport that Northern have provided, then please appeal this claim rejection via your delay repay account and let us know."
