I'd chase that up. I've not had even complex issues take three months and I've always had an email acknowledgement. This is their email I believe still and I've always got very swift responses when I've emailed them recently: delayrepay@northernrailway.co.uk

I’ve recently been told by NT that they’re no longer accepting claims through this email address, and been referred to their delay repay portal. They could be wrong though.

Yes though I believe they will still correspond with people for the purposes of dealing with claims? Even if the original claim has to be made through the portal. I've certainly not had any issues emailing them about claims but then I always claim through the portal!

Waiting 3 weeks now, but they did send an email after 10 days saying their delay repay processing was delayed.

Yes maybe it’s still open for follow-ups but I no longer get a response/confirmation once I submitted the initial claim through email like before.

Ah fair enough. I've not claimed Delay Repay since 30 April from Northern and got a confirmation email that the claim had been received by them so I guess it's changed in the mean time.

I submitted an appeal for a delay repay claim which was incorrectly declined using that email address (it was a complex one) this was over 2 months ago now and have not received a single email back

Received email approval of DR from 4 weeks ago as did my friend on a similar timescale.

It seems to be a complete lottery to be honest!

Although if submitting a claim I think it helps if you just provide the basics to begin with as I presume they have an automated system in the background processing many of the claims, in other words don't add any additional notes to the initial claim since those would presumably have to be reviewed by a team member, if the claim gets rejected you can then of course appeal with further explanation

It also obviously takes longer if you select compensation in the form of a complimentary ticket but in most cases I'm not sure why you would choose any other option ;)

Submitted a claim on 3rd July - got payment on 4th August. Got a couple of emails to say it was delayed to a backlog.

Put a claim in on July 24th for a delayed journey on 23rd, got an acknowledgment of the claim but nothing further. Email says we will respond to your claim within twenty working days.
