Just had the email to say I passed the interview but put in a talent pool again.
Fingers crossed I get plucked out 2nd time around.

I too have passed my interview for Leeds conductor but had the exact same email regarding the talent pool. I had my interview last Thursday, first interview in 15 years. The interviewers on the panel seemed really nice which was good as I was pretty nervous! So you've been through all this process before? Fingers crossed for you this time! I really hope my 9 months doesn't expire I had similar with a domestic abuse officer role I applied for in my current job.... 1 year later and waiting list expired. Now, a year and 2 months later there's more vacancies but I'm no longer interested in applying again. Train conductor on the other hand, I really want this!

Yeah I've been on here a couple of years trying to get a role somewhere and taking in all the advice possible. Got close a few times but looks like I might have finally cracked it.
All been well with the medical (and covid not stopping courses) I've got a provisional date in March.
And yes, what a Christmas present. May very well have to celebrate now.

That's great news, well done mate.

I remember you posting on a thread I started earlier this year when I got a conductor's job and you were in the pool then but nearing expiry so I'm really chuffed for you.

It's a great job - I'm route learning at the minute after recently passing my rules. You won't regret it, just put the work in in training and you'll be fine.
