Northern Conductor - Newcastle Start Date

Hi everyone,

I wanted to know if anyone was in the same position as me. I received an email a month ago stating that I had a start date of the 2nd September subject to medical. I completed the medical last week and now I’m just waiting for a response. Is anyone else at the same stage or does anyone know what the next steps are?

I know I cant be of help to you here, but out of curiosity, when did you have your interview.

A few of us here are in the talent pool for Newcastle and are hoping to have medicals soon. I'm just trying to piece things together.

Hi I had my interview on the 6th March this year. I found out that I was successful a week or two later. I then had confirmation of start date and medical in June. Hope this is of some help.

Ahh thanks, I had my interview in May, found out I had met the standard on the 8th of May.

From what I've read, if you hear nothing about your medical, that's good news.

Maybe drop an email to the recruitment team for an update to ease your mind a little.

I’ve just sent an email over to them, fingers crossed everything’s ok.

The next step will be your contract arriving. If your medical was only last week then I'm not sure why you are panicking...

I'm not panicking at all, just a tad concerned as I've had jobs in the past where it's fallen through at the last minute.

I understand your concern.

I'm in the talent pool for 9 months, and if I don't get anything I have to re-apply.
