Northern Complimentary travel pass

I’ve received a couple of northern complementary travel passes through delay repay and I am wondering if anyone knows what I do with it? Do I have to swap It at a ticket office for an actual ticket? Or is this pass the ticket and I just fill it in and off I go? If this is the ticket how do I get through ticket barriers? Any help would be greatly appreciated

The pass you've received is the ticket. Just fill in where you're going from and to and the date and off you go. Barrier staff will let you through manually.

Remember you can only use Northern services.
