Northern complementary single use

Would Meols Cop to Liverpool be permissable using a Northern free single? I'd also want to take a break of journey at Deansgate. Am I likely to have any problems?

As an alternative I could list Meols Cop to Newton le Willows as the journey (as I get free travel in Merseyside) but then I am liming myself to one route through to Liverpool.

A follow up question:
Do we think I'd be fine writing Hough Green to Newton-le-Willows as the journey and going via Manchester? Or would I be expected to go via Liverpool Lime Street?

Of course Hough Green to Newton-le-Willows could be via Warrington (changing stations).

I don't think anyone would care what you write or how you travel.

Of course. I think that said then Meols Cop to either Hough Green or Newton le Willows is the best bet. Ideally Newton le Willows as it's nearer to Manchester.
