Northern Class 319s

Hi all, quick question about the 319s up north. When I last went there they did Man Airport to Liverpool trains, what else do they do now? Hoping to get one or two after a run on the Todmorden curve.

Keep an eye on this site for short formations: http://www.journeycheck.com/northernrail/ If they mention 2 carriages instead of 4, that means a DMU is filling in. DMUs filling in is quite often despite Northern having 20 x 319s and 16 x 319 diagrams.

Is the daily evening peak Manchester Piccadilly to Hazel Grove EMU service always a Class 323 or can this be a Class 319 as well?

I think it's part of the same diagram as Glossop services so will always be a 323.

Note that any Liverpool service that continues beyond Preston to Blackpool has to be a dmu. Also there are a handful of dmus used on Liverpool to Wigan NW or Manchester Victoria services, because they interwork with other services at Wigan or Manchester.
