On the Class 185s ran by Northern. Is the train declassified or do you still have to pay extra for first class?
Thanks.

First class tickets are still available for the Northern Class 185 routes. (Which have no other first class options besides the Northern 185s)...

On the Northern 185s I've been on, First Class has been embarrassingly empty. One would imagine the space would be better used with people in it...

Northern do not offer a catering service no.

The 1900 service from Manchester Airport is marked as standard class only on the website but conveys accommodation usually signed as First Class.

When did that go? At changeover there was, I got a snack box.

Real annoyance: no Weekend First. I usually want to travel 1st on TPE/ex-TPE because of serious overcrowding, but see no need to do so on the longer VTWC leg, so would have to split at some additional cost (and restrictions).

If it's timetabled Standard the usual convention is that it *is* Standard, though that is not written anywhere. I guess that one was planned as 156 or 2x153, or perhaps it's an error.
