Wheres the most likley line to see 156 156402 156407 156409 156412 156416 156417 156418 156419 and 156422?

All those 156s minus 422 which went to the NE (happy to be corrected of course 
) are based out of NH which will see them on virtually any local route besides the Calder Valley, Chester via Warrington BQ or Manchester to Barrow/Windermere work. Victoria, Salford Crescent or Oxford Rd would be good shots!

Only 156 416/7 went to the NE being based at Heaton. But have now been transfered to NH to be with the rest of the ex EMR units. Heaton got 420/3 in return. Pretty sure 156422 is a NH unit. It is highly unlikely you'll see any of those listed around the NE unless it's for maintenance reasons. They return back to their home depot immediately without being used in service. Carlisle is the closest they get to Newcastle/Middlesbrough in public service.

As far as I know, only 415 of the ex EMR batch has worked in the NE in the last year. Did one trip up the DC earlier this year. But was removed at Newcastle and sent back to the NW.
Where's the fun in that . Saying that with the amount of swaps daily you could still get a surprise.
Cheers Simon I was sure 422 had been on its its travels can't keep up. Do the NH ones still end up going round the coast these days?

Sometimes they get on the coast. But extremely rare to go East of Carlisle.

Some 156s operate on the CLC into Lime Street and they operate with 150s on the Blackburn-Headbolt Lanr service.
