Around Middlesbrough today were 142023/064/90/1 and 96. One of the 6 142 diagrams on Salburn/Darlington/Bishop Auckland line has now gone over to 158 operation as of today.

Annoyingly and for some reason(assuming guard error) the 15:04 service departed Morecambe 10 mins early so had to wait well over half an hour for 142003 to arrive back again. Worth the wait I say!

That’s strange that it left MCM 10 mins early. It must of been held somewhere as it arrived in LAN 1 min early. It’s not working this evening as the later services have been replaced by a coach.

Very, could be some operational reason or an error by the guard although sadly we will never know. I assumed it ran with passengers on and I was kept on checking RTT as I was hoping it was not a train fault but clearly that is not the case. The hold ups would be down to finding a path onto the WCML and into P1 at Lancaster but if it was a guard error then I'm surprised it was not held at a red before Bare Lane station until the right time it meant to arrrive as RTT would then show the train leaving Morecambe at the right time as whatever time the train arrives into Bare it will show as leaving Morecambe 3 mins before that so could of covered up any error. That said, it could be an operational reason as surely the guard would of noticed the PIS at Bare and see how early they were but if that was the case then it was all in vain as it arrived into Lancaster more or less when it was meant too!

Fortunately it would seem none of the passengers were after any connecting trains at that time.

On another note, with tonight's cancellations, 142003 should be on the branch line again tomorrow.

Bus seated interior of 142009. First time I have seen a unit with the red internal walls (although only one carriage had these, the other was the normal purple).

In a short random sampling on the Calder Valley line yesterday, the only Pacer I saw was on a Leeds - Southport (142067). Quite a few 195s knocking about now - caught a 195 on a Leeds - Chester run (195107).

142 027 arrived shortly after from the Skipton direction.

Manchester Victoria:
142 001 and 142 046 on the 11:23 to Stalybridge.
142 049 (with 150 141) on the 11:09 to Rochdale.
142 060 on 11:26 Southport.
142 043 (with 150 204) 11:29 to Leeds.

Salford Crescent:
142 071 (with 156 464) to Stalybridge
142 012 on 12:02 Southport.
142 047 (with 156 459) on 12:22 to Alderley Edge.
142 014 (with 156 440) on 12:23 to Southport
142 048 and 142 067 on 12:57 to Blackburn.
142 003 (with 150 224) 13:28 to Southport.
142 034 (with 150 147) 13:28 to Leeds.

Manchester Piccadilly
142 011 (with 150 148) 14:39 to Rose Hill.
142 004 and 142 041 on 15:19 to New Mills.
142 054 and 142 065 at 16:02 ECS from NH formed 16:31 to New Mills and return and 18:19 to Chinley.

The New Mills / Rose Hill / Hope Valley services were dominated by sprinters today.

Sunday Afternoon 27/10/19 at a disrupted Sheffield Midland . With services to Leeds already disrupted due to engineering work , the weather caused havoc with no services through Rotherham Central for most of the day due to flooding , no services between Doncaster and Cleethorpes disrupting the TPE Manchester Airport services .
