DRS hauled Northern Belle has just gone south past MKC. It looks like DRS have painted at l;east one of thier 47's with Northern Belle branding. Same colour scheme carried along the side of the loco plus Norther nBelle branding

Yep, 47790 has very recently been painted in Pullman brown and cream livery to match the Northern Belle coaching stock.

It’s off to the Chelsea flower show today from Chester and Birmingham. Shame it wasn’t booked to pass through Birmingham half an hour earlier, or I might have been able to have a look at the newly repainted loco on the way into work. Maybe when it comes back tonight. Of course, ideally I’d like to be able to afford to travel on the Northern Belle one day!

Nice to see it back in the hands of class 47s again. It used to be a regular turn for one of the two royal 47s.

Wonder when it comes back this way - might try for a picture.

Well, it’s due back into Birmingham at 21:10, so I’d imagine it’d pass through Milton Keynes at about ten to eight.
