Northern 180's From Victoria-Blackpool

Hi,
Me and my freind are planning a trip to Blackpool for a day with the trams, we would perfer a 180 rather than 142, so has anyone got the times for the Northern 180's from Manchester Victoria to Blackpool North

Unfortunately I don't have the 180 diagrams but someone will.

I've grown up with 142s on my local Blackburn-Preston all my life. 180s are OK, they are useful stock, not 142s, not 221s, just a middle ground of stock. The only trouble is that they have been p***ed about with so much in ownership, the insides look tired, and they could do with a facelift and permanent home. Neither really bother me, to be honest, nothing can be worse than a 390 Pendolino.

northernrail please bear in mind that the link I provided was for that day in the May-Dec timetable last year, it could well have changed.

The diagrams in the link MattE2010 provided are still current. There are only 2 sets available for traffic at the moment (180103 is away for repair) and 106 and 108 aren't doing too well. The last week or so has seen at least one of the diagrams substituted for Pacers or Sprinters on one or more days.

May be down another one tonight depending on how much damage has been done to one of the units at Leyland. Hopefully nothing too serious.

It's a 5-10 minute walk. You'll have a long wait for a tram though - the next one is timetabled to run at Easter! :)

Pacers are OK. Am I the only one who prefers the bus seats to airplane ones (for short journeys obviously)?

Middlesbrough - Carlisle is a bit of a pain, but then again 3 hours in the same seat on any train will be a pain in the arse. Learnt my lesson from the first time I did it when both of my legs went to sleep. Looked a bit odd trying to get off at Carlisle.
