Northern 156480

Evening all

I’m after as much gen as possible on Northerns 156480, the RAF 100 vinyld unit.

I’m after a picture of it in a dark enough location so as to get a photo of it under the stars - a challenge, but it’s possible!

Any help would be gratefully appreciated!!

I saw it pass me yesterday around 4pm on the Calder valley heading towards Manchester Victoria and its easy to identify it.

One of my (many) gripes with Northern is their social media team’s apparent inability to prioritise properly at times of major disruption. It’s a bit frustrating when you’re stuck at a rural station and can’t get up to date info whilst they happily tell people where specific units are.

Having seen loads of these tweets, they seem to have a “one question per person per day” policy but do seem fine telling people what trains specific units are on

I always try and avoid asking northern on twitter for units - they’ve got more important things to deal with than an enthusiast wanting to know where a certain unit is. That’s what forums like this are for.
