Northern 156 Query

Does anybody know why there's half a 156 (could be a 150 sorry if I'm wrong) currently stabled at Newton Heath Maitenance Depot, its currently stabled on one of the roads neareast the Metrolink Line and seems to have been there for the past 2 weeks or more now without moving also does anyone know where the other half to this unit is and why the unit (not to sure which one it is) has actually been split in 2

Neither here, nor there, but somewhere in-between!
It's a 156, I walked passed it last week, whilst at the depot and I saw, many elements of the cab were on the floor in the door area; AWS sunflower and other associated parts. I couldn't tell you what's wrong with it; but in this weather it cant be doing it any good; as it's doors were open all last week, and in the rain, it look saturated!
