Northampton to Milton Keynes closed in September

Yes, for Northampton Gateway freight terminal works. Drainage works too. Only one connection going in though in the block from what I have heard.

I'm a bit confused as to why this results in a reduced Avanti service too given that LNR aren't diverting - is something being done on the mainline too?

Will there only be access to/from the Northampton direction?
If so, how will it work for trains arriving from the South? Is a reversing/holding siding planned or would a run-round at Northampton or somewhere further North be needed?

Only the north connection is going in during this block, another block will occur at some time to put the southern connection in. The terminal cannot open until the signalling is commissioned anyway.
