North Western Very First Livery

Does anyone have any imagery of the very first North Western livery?

Not the dark blue golden stars (no First branding) livery, but the very first one. I vaguely remember seeing window stickers in a clapped out old electric unit, but that is about it.

The white based one with blue and orange accenting?

I don't I'm afraid, but it was very similar to the colour scheme and logo used by the Orange brand of mountain bikes, which could well be why it wasn't used.

The only one I can remember is the Regional Railways NW livery with the green stripe.

I don't think so. There was a proposed white, blue and orange livery with a different style of star that was to have been used, but starred blue was used instead.

Those are BR-era "NorthWest Express" livery, which was regular RR blue with a green stripe.

As far as I’m aware this was the first North West livery – Network North West.

Yes - it was the livery on the very first artists impressions of the 175s and 180s (then destined for North Western Trains' London services)! It was definitely reproduced in an issue of RAIL about that era (must've been about issue 300-ish).

Indeed, that's the one. It also I think featured on the first post-privatisation printed timetable leaflets.
