Hello,

Bit of a last minute query, you never know, someone might be around who could help. :)

I've been asked to go to Cambridge this evening, I'd need to get home tonight.

My nearest station is Bush Hill Park (a walk to Southbury is no problem). I'd like to go through Cheshunt on the way out. I can get a ticket for this route.

Coming home the last train is at 23:15. I would have to get this one. This is an FCC service calling at Potters Bar and Finsbury Park. I think i would have to get a night bus home from Finsbury Park, I don't think a bus from Potters Bar to Enfield runs at that time.

I can't find any return ticket on the journey planner that allows me to go out through Cheshunt, and return on the last FCC service. Is it possible without buying 2 singles? As an alternative I could go to Finsbury Park on the way out. Finsbury Park - Cambridge is £23 return, and use my oyster card for the other bits.

Grateful if anyone has any better ideas. Thanks as always for all the great advice on this forum :)

A bit late I know, but for future reference, note that there's no need to use a night bus for a journey from Finsbury Park to Bush Hill Park at that time – you'd still be in plenty of time for the last tube to Turnpike (for 217/231/329) or Tottenham (for a 192) depending on which part of Bush Hill Park you're in. Indeed, from what I hear, the N29 should be actively avoided if at all possible. :?
