North County Rover

I've looked on the northern website (and at their PDF leaflet showing not so detailed maps of different rovers they offer) but what are the boundaries north/south of the North county rover? The reason I ask is I've set myself the task of riding on all lines possible in the North of England with regular service (specifically all Northern Rail services shown in the printed map within their passenger charter) before the end of August. Not specifically to tick off units but some stations and lines that ordinarily I wouldn't see going from A to B. Can anyone offer any advice on the area this covers?

Northern's maps are rather decent I find. Anyway, the northern boundaries are Carlisle and Newcastle, and the southern one is the route Northern's Blackpool-York takes between Preston-Leeds. The rest of the southern boundary is the Leeds-Hull line. Note it is not valid west of Preston towards Blackpool.

Thanks for the replies - very helpful, I might look at a different rover possibly since there's a lot I want to cover south of Preston-York (which I've already done) in particular in the Merseyside/Greater Manchester areas. I might get the Chesire day ranger for that part and break it up a bit
